Location and Community

Campus Overview

Directions

Accommodations

he Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine campus is located in Blacksburg, Virginia, approximately 38 miles west of Roanoke, Virginia. The campus is located within the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.

Approximately 35,000 people live in the community surrounding Blacksburg, with an additional 25,000 students at Virginia Tech.

Blacksburg

Blacksburg is in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains with outdoor activities that include hiking, bicycling trails, and nearby rafting and skiing. The campus of Virginia Tech offers the broad array of social, cultural, and educational activities found on major campuses, yet is uniquely located in a community environment.

Roanoke

Nearby Roanoke provides additional experiences with the symphony, theater, opera, ballet, museums, and other cultural events. Roanoke has a regional airport that offers transportation on many major airlines.

The area also has professional baseball and Division 1A college sports, and we could not say Virginia Tech without mentioning our ACC athletic teams "The Hokies".
