Welcome to the Post-Baccalaureate Program
The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine will accept applications for the 2014-2015 Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med Program class beginning in the Fall of 2013. Please see Admissions Requirements and Application Process links on the left for more information.
The Program is an excellent preparation for individuals who are changing careers, interested in applying to an osteopathic (D.O.) or allopathic (M.D.) medical program and/or for graduating students who need to meet or strengthen the requirements for health professions schools. The Program at VCOM is a non-degree granting, certificate program offered to attract individuals from rural areas, low-socioeconomic status backgrounds, and underrepresented minorities.
Seventy seven percent (77%) of the VCOM Post-Baccalaureate class of 2010 and 89% of the class of 2011 matriculated to medical school.
The curriculum includes biomedical and research coursework, clinical experiences, and an international missions or Appalachian outreach experience.
Thank you for visiting the VCOM website to learn more about our Post-Baccalaureate Program.
