Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association (SGA) at VCOM consists of an Executive Board and Class Officers from each class. Together, the SGA team works to serve the VCOM student body by providing academic resources, supporting VCOM Student Groups, and acting as a student voice within VCOM Administration.
A student-run web page for each campus was created, where students have access to class blogs; study resources such as lecture and study guides; rotation and residency information, as well as links to VCOM clubs and professional organizations; and current events related to medical practice.
SGA works with VCOM organizations and committees and oversees the VCOM Student Organization Fundraising Fair. SGA leads the Council of Presidents meetings, where the President of each VCOM organization or committee is invited to discuss and brainstorm school-wide student issues.
Both VCOM campuses are proudly represented at the national level within the Counsel of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents.
