The Psychiatry Student Organization provides students with awareness of the psychiatry profession via clinical experiences, guest speakers, shadowing experiences, and educational experiences.
The neurology committee, which is part of the Psychiatry Student Organization, introduces medical students to the field of neurology by bringing them together with fellow students with similar interests. Discussions by neurologists, patient presentations, seminars, residency visits, learning materials, and arranged shadowing of neurologists in the workplace are example of activities available through this committee. Membership to SIGN and the American Academy of Neurology is free for any student. The parent organization is at www.aan.com.
