ABOUT DR. ABRAHAM-HARDEE: Sofia Abraham-Hardee D.O., Ph.D., received her B.S in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She completed a post baccalaureate program from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her osteopathic medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She also completed her PhD in International Health Education from Virginia Tech in 2008. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in June 2011. Dr. Abraham-Hardee is a board certified pediatrician at the Academic Primary Care Associates in Blacksburg, VA and is on the clinical faculty at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. |

ABOUT DR. ALDRET: Stephanie Aldret, D.O. received her B.S. in Health and Sports Sciences from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, and a B.S. in Chemistry/Forensic Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. She then received her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, OK in 2008. Dr Aldret completed her Family Medicine Residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, in 2011. Her interests are in primary care sports medicine and osteopathic manipulation. She hopes to incorporate both into her future practice as well as teach residents and future physicians. |

ABOUT DR. BLOOD: Steven Blood received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He interned at the Osteopathic Hospital of Main Portland, ME. Dr. Blood is certified in the American Osteopathic Board in General Practice and the American Academy of Osteopathy in Osteopathic Diagnosis and Treatment. He passed the Occupancy Examination by the Cranial Academy. He is the past President of VOMA, Cranial Academy, The American Academy of Osteopathy, Kirksville Osteopathic Alumni Association and the Osteopathic Association of the District of Columbia. Dr. Blood is board certified in Family Practice. |

ABOUT DR. BOLIN: Delmas Bolin, M.D. Ph.D. is fellowship trained and board certified in family practice and sports medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. He serves VCOM as an Assistant Professor of Family and Sports Medicine. He serves as Team Physician for Radford University’s Athletics Department. Dr. Bolin has extensive experience in Sports Medicine Residency administration and teaching, serving for 3 years as the Co-Director of the University or Pittsburg Medical Center St. Margaret Sports Medicine Residency in Pittsburgh. |

ABOUT DR. CLARY: Michael Clary, D.O. is a native of Hillsville, VA is a 1987 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Clary completed his residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice. Prior to relocating to the New River Valley in 2003, Dr. Clary practiced for twelve years in Richlands, VA. Dr. Clary served as Director of Medical Education at Clinch Valley Medical Center and he is currently an Associate Professor at VCOM. Dr. Clary's professional interests include preventive medicine and wellness. |

ABOUT DR. DAY: Dan Day D.O. was born in Rochester, NY and received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University before completing Medical School at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. From there, he finished a Residency in Family Practice at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City New York. He has spent most of his life involved in sports and is continuing his medical training in the VT/VCOM Sports Medicine Fellowship. Additionally, he is certified in Acupuncture, and while in the SM Fellowship hopes to further develop his OMM skills in order to integrate them into his future practice. |

ABOUT DR. DEFEO: Guy DeFeo received his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. Dr. DeFeo completed his internship from Waterville Osteopathic Hospital and residency from the University of New England college of Osteopathic Medicine. ABOUT DR. DOOLAN: Amy Doolan, D.O. received her B.S. in Biology and her M.S. Ed. from Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Virginia. She then graduated from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007 with her Osteopathic medical degree. Dr. Doolan completed her Internship and Family Medicine Residency in 2010 at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia and her Primary Care/Sports Medicine fellowship at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in July 2011. Dr. Doolan serves as clinical faculty for OMM and Primary care here at the college. In addition, she practices at Academic Primary Care Associates in Blacksburg, VA, specializing in all aspects of family medicine with a special emphasis in primary care sports medicine including osteopathic manipulative treatment, joint injections, prolotherapy and PRP injections used as non-surgical treatments for chronic pain as well as sports related injuries. |

ABOUT DR. HENDERSHOT: Dr. Hendershot is a native of Pennsylvania and a 1988 graduate of Temple University, a 1995 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and received his MS degree in 2000 from National University. Dr. Hendershot completed his residency training at St Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. where he served a Chief resident. He served in the US NAVY from 1984 to 1991 in both active duty and reserve roles as an enlisted hospital corpsman and later as a Radiation Health Officer and Nuclear Weapons Radiological Controls officer. Prior to relocating to the New River Valley in 2008, Dr. Hendershot served in the US Public Health service and as a medical director for the Department of Justice. He is currently the Chairman of Family medicine at VCOM. Dr. Hendershot’s professional interests include public health and occupational/ environmental medicine. |

ABOUT DR. MCCRADY: Dr. McCrady has been a southwestern Virginia resident for most of his life, graduating from Northside High School. He went on to play football at Bridgewater College and was then in the inaugural graduating class at VCOM. His osteopathic rotating internship was at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz, PA and completed his physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. His sports medicine interests include strength and conditioning and neurologic injuries in sports. Dr McCrady is very excited to be back in the region and care for the athletes of Virginia Tech and the surrounding schools. |

ABOUT DR. ROGERS: After finishing his Bachelors degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Dr. Rogers completed a Master's degree in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, followed by his Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical Center. He then went on and completed his family medicine residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Virginia Tech. His primary interests are in sports medicine, health promotion and preventive care, undergraduate medical education and osteopathic manual medicine. He currently also serves as a team physician for Virginia Tech Athletics. |

ABOUT DR. SHAW-COLLINS: Ann Shaw-Collins, D.O. grew up in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Jenks High School. She received a BS in Biology from Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado. She moved to Blacksburg, VA and was a member of the second graduating class of Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). She completed her pediatric residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, OK in 2011. After residency she returned to Virginia and serves as clinical faculty for OMM and Primary care at VCOM and practices Pediatrics at Academic Primary Care Associates in Blacksburg, VA. |

ABOUT DR. TOBEY: Dr. Tobey grew up in Gettysburg PA and obtained her BS in Biology at Messiah College followed by Medical School at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine(LECOM). She completed a rotating osteopathic internship at the Heart of Lancaster Regional medical center (formerly known as Lancaster community osteopathic) where she was recognized as intern of the year by both the pediatrics and internal medicine departments. She then went to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital to complete her Pediatric residency. After residency she relocated to the New River Valley and was excited to join the staff at APCA as a full time pediatrician. |

ABOUT DR. WILLIAMS: Richard Williams, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geriatrics and involved with instruction and lecturing in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). Dr. Williams completed a dual residency in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in June 1990 at the The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University where he also received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor of Medicine degrees. Dr. Williams began a private geriatric practice in North Carolina in 1990 and continued in the New River Valley through 2003. He joined the VCOM facility in October 2003 in the Department of Geriatrics and Internal Medicine. Dr Williams Chaired the Department of Geriatrics from 2005-2007. Dr. Williams’ clinical interests include improving care of the nursing home patient and improving outcomes in high risk cardiovascular patients. He has also completed a fellowship in antiaging and functional medicine and incorporates this in the elderly population and selected internal medicine cases. |
