ABOUT DR. ROBINSON: Dr. Robinson has been in medical practice since 2005, previously as Director of Women’s Health at the Heart of Texas Community Health Center and Family Medicine Residency in Waco, Texas for four years, and currently practicing at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center since 2009. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia in 2001. He did his Residency in OB/GYN at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Robinson is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is affiliated with several medical schools, and is a member of several medical associations. |

ABOUT DR. ANDERSON: Dr. Lynn B. Anderson received her BA in Biology from the Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in May of 1986. Following, she completed her internship and residency at the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Anderson served 13-years as an attending physician at Winston-Salem Health Care in North Carolina. She is a Partner at Salisbury OB/GYN and has been with the practice since August 2003. She is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. |

Diane Aslanis, D.O.Obstetrics and Gynecology Preceptor |
ABOUT DR. ASLANIS: Dr. Aslanis earned her undergraduate degree from Montclair State University in 1994 and her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1998. She completed her family practice internship training at Christ Hospital in 1999, and her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in 2003. She served as a medical director in the US Air Force from 2005 to 2006 at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska, then continued her obstetrics and gynecology career at S.H.E. Medical Associates in Hartford, CT. Dr. Aslanis is board certified and practices at Centra Southside Women’s Specialists in Farmville, Virginia. |

ABOUT DR. AUSTIN: Dr. Mark Austin is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and then began a residency in Family Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Upon completion of the US Naval Flight Surgeon’s Course at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, FL, he was assigned to aviation units in Germany and at Ft. Bragg, NC. Subsequently, he completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, as well as a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Jones Institute at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Prior to his retirement from naval service, Dr. Austin served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He is currently a member of the faculty of the OB/Gyn residency program of Riverside Regional Medical Center. |

ABOUT DR. BASCO: Dr. Thomas Basco is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Originally from New York, Dr. Basco did his undergraduate training at Georgetown University and New York University. He received his medical degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2005, and joined Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Hampton, in May, 2010. Dr. Basco and his wife and three children live in Hampton with their three children. When he is not delivering babies, Dr. Basco enjoys bicycling, swimming, traveling, and attending his children's soccer games. |

ABOUT DR. DENNIS: Dr. Larry Dennis attended Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA where he obtained his Medical degree in 1977. He completed his internship and residency at the USAF Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. Further study was completed at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC where he received his Fellowship in Maternal - Fetal Medicine. Dr. Dennis is Board Certified and has membership at the following organizations: American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, Society of Perinatal Obstetricians, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has also served as Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology for the University of Virginia, Roanoke Program. ABOUT DR. DIMOFTE: Dr. Stefania Dimofte received her medical degree at the University of Medicine in Iasi, Romania, where she also completed her internship and residency. Later she earned her fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospitals of Grenoble, France. After moving to the United States, Dr. Dimofte completed internship in Internal Medicine at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA, and then internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital of Cleveland in Cleveland, OH. Her residency was then completed at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. She is currently an OB-GYN physician at Community Memorial Health Center in South Hill, Virginia. Prior to working in South Hill, she served for four years as an Obstetrician Gynecologist at First Fighter Wing Hospital at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, and the Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon in Georgia. ABOUT DR. EVANS: Dr. S. R. Evans is board certified, and has been in OBGYN practice since 2005. He is currently practicing at the Women’s Health Group in Morganton, NC. He worked three years at the Charlottesville Free Clinic as OBGYN coordinator, and also served as resident coordinator at the UVA OBGYN Primary Care Center for two years. In the recent past, Dr. Evans worked with the Summer Medical Institute by participating in a medical mission trip to Maracay, Venezuela. In 2005, Dr. Evans received the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures. Dr. Roseann Freundel received her undergraduate degree at Western Maryland College in Westminister, MD. She received her doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia’s School of Osteopathic Medicine and finished her residency program at York Hospital in York, Pa. Before going to medical school, she worked 15 years as an RN in a variety of healthcare facilities in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and received training in therapeutic massage therapy at the Baltimore School of Massage.. ABOUT DR. KNAPP: Dr. Knapp is a native of Cleveland, Ohio who graduated with honors from Palm Beach Atlantic College, which recently honored her with their Distinguished Alumni Award. She completed her medical school training and residency at the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been honored as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Knapp has also been honored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, receiving their National Award for Student Recruitment, and she received the Luther McEachern Memorial Award for Scholarship, Leadership and Service. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Christian Medical Society, the Baptist Medical/Dental Fellowship, and she is an avid volunteer for organizations ranging from the Judeo Christian Clinic, the Ruskin Migrant Clinic, the Tampa HIV Clinic, and Genesis Family Medicine Clinic. |

ABOUT DR. LAFFERTY: John M. Lafferty, M.D. is a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who has been practicing medicine in Burke County for more than 20 years. Although he has always had an interest in general medicine and nutrition all his professional life, he recently became a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, the only national medical society that teaches physicians how to comprehensively treat the problems of obesity and its related problems. Dr. Lafferty completed his doctorate at the University of North Carolina in 1979, and performed his residency at Blodgett Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan from 1979-1983. In 1985 he was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is on the Active Staff of the Valdese General Hospital in Valdese, NC and Grace Hospital in Morganton, NC. |

ABOUT DR. LARA-TORRE: Dr. Eduardo Lara-Torre is a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist who earned his medical degree from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Superior Studies, Monterrey, Mexico. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, and his Fellowship training in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Ky. Dr. Lara-Torre is fluent in English and Spanish. He treats girls from birth through college with reproductive health conditions or needs, and has special interests in the HPV vaccine and contraception. Dr. Lara-Torre is currently an Associate Professor at the Virginia Tech-Carilion School of Medicine. He is an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology oral examiner and is author of multiple peer review research articles in his specialty. ABOUT DR. LAYE: Dr. Laye earned his undergraduate degree in the Biological Sciences from Clemson University. He received his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC. He went on to complete his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. While there, he received a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science. He has been board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gyncecology since 2006 and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, South Carolina Medical Society, and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He has been in medical practice with Regional Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center since July 2008, and is also affiliated with three additional hospitals – Mary Black Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Women’s and Family Hospital, and Village at Pelham Hospital. He is currently an Assistant Professor (Clinical Faculty) for the Medical University of South Carolina AHEC. ABOUT DR. MARDEN: Dr. Marden is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pamona, California. In addition to serving as an associate professor with the East Tennessee State University Department of Surgery and Family Medicine (where he earned Teaching Doctor of the Year), Dr. David Marden is an associate of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute Medical Associates, Inc., and has been providing care with innovative medicine to women for the last thirteen years. He is renowned for being one of the more progressive gynecological practitioners in the region. Dr. Marden has a particular interest in robotic surgery, wellness and HCG weight loss, incontinence and prolapse procedures and bioidentical hormones. Dr. Marden practices at Advanced Gynecology and Wellness in Bristol, Tennessee. |
