The tournament will begin at 1:00 pm with a shotgun start. A deli lunch buffet will be provided for all participants. The cost for this event is $80 per player, or $300 for a foursome. Your participation will honor a special VCOM family and the memory of a special young man. All proceeds, after expenses, will be directed into the Blake E. Fought Memorial Scholarship Fund at VCOM. n March 2, 2007, 19-year old Blake E. Fought - a student at Radford University - died tragically and unexpectedly. His mother, Amy, was a third year student at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) at the time of Blake's passing. Courageously, Amy persevered through the loss of her only son to graduate with her entering class and is now in her residency at the Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. In honor of the Fought family (Amy, Mark and Blake's younger sister, Kaitlyn) and in remembrance of Blake's boundless enthusiasm for life, friends of the Fought family have established a scholarship at VCOM in Blake's name. To raise funds toward the goal of endowing that scholarship, VCOM is proud to announce the Third Annual Blake E. Fought Memorial Scholarship-VCOM Golf Tournament.
