The Inaugural Class from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine—Carolinas Campus will receive their white coats, 2 pm on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Twichell Auditorium of Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The symbolism of the white coat dates back to over one hundred years denoting professionalism, humanism and compassion towards patients.
Edward A. Feldman, D.O. will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony, along with words from Brian Snyder, D.O., President of South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society President, and Dixie Tooke-Rawlins, D.O., Dean and Executive Vice President of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
