VCOM is proud to announce the election of two VCOM students, Cris Mathew and Darion Showell, to AACOM’s Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents Executive Board. Cris Mathew will serve as the Second Vice Chair on the Executive Board. In this role, Cris will be responsible for serving as Chair of the Public Relations Committee, publishing the COSGP Newsletter, serving as a member of the AOA Student Selection Committee, and coordinating the “What Can Your Doctor D.O. For You?” Awareness Campaign. Darion Showell will serve as Treasurer on the Executive Board. In this role, Darion will chair the Finance Committee, maintain records of all COSGP finances, propose an annual budget, and complying with all finance laws and the rules and regulations of AACOM. |
“We are very proud of Cris and Darion’s service as student leaders on the Executive Board of the AACOM Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents. These two students are wonderful advocates for the osteopathic profession,” commented Bill King, Associate Vice President for Student Services. The purpose of the Council of Student Government Presidents is to assemble student leaders from each college of osteopathic medicine, encourage the exchange of ideas and information affecting osteopathic medical colleges, and encourage professional development of osteopathic medical students.
