VCOM-Carolinas Campus Offer Free Health Screenings to the Community

On Saturday, January 7th, 2012, 29 students, 2 faculty members and 1 staff member from the Carolinas Campus were on hand to give back to the community. VCOM-CC partnered with The Carpenter’s Table, a local non-profit organization to provide free Health Screenings to Spartanburg County residents. The Student Doctors checked Height, Weight, Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar, as well administering flu vaccinations, followed by an OMM Treatment to increase the effectiveness of the vaccine. Upon completion of the screening, the Student Doctors offered free health counseling and provided the patient with contact information of local organizations in Spartanburg County that could offer them further medical assistance, if needed.
