Cranes, standing as tall as the iconic smokestack from the former Spartan Mills, quickly swung building supplies and equipment into position last week as construction on the new campus of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine Carolinas continued at a rapid pace.
Construction on the medical school, located on nearly 18 acres at the former mill site, is on schedule. Work began on the new campus in February, and classes for the first crop of students are expected to begin in August.
