CLINICAL SPECIALTY FACULTYClinical Specialty Faculty are needed for the following disciplines: |
Primary Care faculty needed to teach within the Principles of Primary Care Course. The course is a lecture / laboratory course that includes the curriculum for physical diagnosis, primary care topics, examination of the muscular and skeletal systems, communication, clinical skills, and osteopathic manipulation. Board certified faculty in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and emergency medicine desired. The applicant must be skilled in osteopathic manipulation. The hours include each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, 47 weeks per year. Interviews will begin in December and will close in April, 2011 or when filled. Pay commensurate with training and expertise. A Geriatrics-trained faculty (with certificate of added qualification awarded by AOBFP) is needed to develop and lead a Geriatrics Fellowship Program that will be associated with VCOM-Carolinas Campus and Network Geriatrics in Spartanburg, South Carolina. VCOM-Carolinas Campus is currently co-recruiting with Network Geriatrics, which will be the primary training site for the fellowship. More information...

This is a full-time position with 3 primary responsibilities: (1) actively participating in pharmacology curriculum development and teaching pharmacology to medical students; (2) developing, directing and conducting biomedical research projects funded both in-house and extramurally; (3) participating in all assigned, required, as well as other related professional services and activities in the college. The successful candidate will teach first-and second-year medical students in a two-year integrated curriculum. Conduct research/scholarly activities and provide service to the college. Opportunities exist to participate in the research program including organization, planning and writing grants to seek external funding for research programs. More information...
