Dr.
Brolinson is a frequent speaker at national sports medicine meetings
and
often teaches didactic laboratory sessions on the use of osteopathic
manipulative therapy for athletic injuries. He is the lead author
for the recently published paper in Current Sports Medicine Reports
entitled "Sacroiliac Dysfunction in Athletes" as well
as another article on "Pain Management in Athletes".
Dr. Brolinson also has interest in integrative medicine and has
published in this area as well.
Dr. Brolinson co-authored two recent sports medicine consensus
statements including: "Sideline
Preparedness for the Team Physician" (PDF) and "The
Team Physician and Conditioning of Athletes for Sports" (PDF).
Dr. Brolinson is the lead author of the sports medicine chapter in the latest edition of Foundations for Osteopathic Medicine, 2nd Edition. Dr. Brolinson is section editor for "Common Conditions" and lead author for the cycling chapter in Manual Sports Medicine (in press). His research interests include exercise and immune function, exercise and bone mineral density, concussion in sports, sports performance and manipulation as well as exercise and other health-related topics.
