Tuition Information

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are due in two installments and payable in full in August and January, unless special arrangements have been made in advance with the Business Office. Tuition also provides for: anatomy dissection equipment, select computerized programs, SOMA and VOMA dues.

Application Fee

A nonrefundable fee of $80.00 is payable upon submission of the secondary application for admission. Please make fees payable to VCOM/Treasurer and note on the check "secondary application fee for VCOM". A fee of up to $67.50, payable to PreCheck, is also assessed for the required background checks.

Acceptance Fee

A nonrefundable fee of $1,200 is payable after a student has been accepted to the College. Payment is credited toward the tuition fee upon matriculation.

Tuition - 2008-2009

Tuition is due and payable at the time of invoicing before the beginning of each academic year. Tuition is subject to change annually. Tuition and fees for the Class of 2011 for the 2008-2009 academic year is $32,900 and that the comprehensive fee is $750 (subject to change).

The Board of Directors of the College reserves the right to change the schedule of tuition and fees, without advance notice, and to make such changes applicable to present, as well as future, students of the College. The Board may also establish additional fees or charges for special services whenever, in the Board's opinion, such actions are deemed advisable.

If full payment of tuition and fees is not made within 30 days, a late fee of 5% will be issued and will be compounded monthly on all outstanding balances until payment is received.

Students receiving federal aid or scholarships that have not arrived by the beginning of the academic year must have written assurance that the funds are awarded. Students must pay any outstanding tuition and fees when those funds are distributed before any over award will be refunded. All inquiries concerning the above policies and all requests for refunds should be directed to the Business Office.

Tuition Refund Policy

If a student withdraws from VCOM due to illness or other physical disability within four weeks of the time tuition was paid, a pro-rated refund may be authorized at the Dean's discretion. In no case will tuition already paid be refunded for dishonorable or poor scholarship dismissal.

If the student withdraws for any other reason, a tuition refund may be authorized. The effective date of the withdrawal is the date the student files a written request with the Dean. The amount of refund allowable is:

Within first 10 class days
after classes have started
75% of annual tuition
Within the 11th through the 20th class day
(fourth week)
50% of annual tuition
Fifth week and thereafter 0% of annual tuition
