Students are required to successfully pass the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners’ (NBOME) Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) Levels 1 and 2-CE, including the Level 2 Physical Examination (PE) component. Specific testing requirements are detailed in the VCOM Student Policies and Procedures Handbook.
At the time of this publication VCOM has the following results for National Boards:
VCOM has a greater than 90% pass rate on first attempt on the 2011 COMLEX 1 which is above national average.
VCOM has a final pass rate of 99% for all students attempting COMLEX I over the past five years.
VCOM has a 89% pass rate on first attempt for COMLEX CE in 2011 which is above national average.
VCOM has a final pass rate of 99% for COMLEX CE for all years.
VCOM has a 98% pass rate on COMLEX PE in 2010 and 2011 on first attempt
