The VCOM Office of Admissions is happy to host you for an Open House or an individual visit.
Open House
VCOM hosts two Open Houses annually – in the spring and fall of each year. Open Houses are conducted on a Saturday afternoon to accommodate travel and academic schedules. Each Open House will provide a review of the curriculum and clinical rotations, tour of the facility, panel discussion with students, OMM demonstration, overview of the admissions process, and introduction to financial aid. Admissions representatives are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the conclusion of the Open House to meet one-on-one with visitors.
Individual Visits
We are also willing to host prospective students for an individual visit to campus. Visits are conducted Monday through Friday and are based on the availability of the admissions office. Individual visits consist of a meeting with an admissions representative and tour of the facility. To schedule an individual visit, please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions-virginia@vcom.vt.edu.

Class of 2014
VCOM-Virginia Campus
Hometown: Valdese, NC
Undergraduate: UNC-Greensboro, B.S Biology
Interests: Hiking, Rock-climbing, Running, Music
I want to help people because, at the end of the day, it’s a lofty legacy to leave behind. Doctors are able to connect with humanity in unique and profound ways. To ameliorate suffering and guide patients to a life of health is a noble goal.
I chose to attend VCOM because of the sense of community and focus on student success. The willingness of both students and faculty to answer my questions fostered an immediate sense of comfort and belonging. The town of Blacksburg has always felt like home and only served to make the decision to come to VCOM easier. In 15 minutes I can be on a hiking trail in a national park. Live music, sporting events, and good food are found every week downtown and cultural events and speakers that are associated with Virginia Tech bring a more cosmopolitan feel to the town.
