I am convinced that DO’s stay true to what medicine is and has always been about and that is patient-centered care and wellness. DO’s are also addressing the needs of the nation and the world; primary care physicians are lacking and DO’s have been the ones that have been filling the void.
I want to help people because my faith in Jesus Christ compels me to. I believe that it is my duty and privilege to be able to give back to my immediate underserved community and the global underserved community. I have been truly blessed and fortunate to be in this position and I don’t know anything else that would bring me as much satisfaction as serving my community.
VCOM is my dream come true. I visited VCOM three years prior to my attending and was absolutely blown away by the mission and philosophy of the school. VCOM’s commitment to patient-centered, service-oriented medicine was exactly what I was seeking in an institution. Their emphasis on primary care medicine captured my attention and the family atmosphere was overwhelming. Then I felt at home. Now I am home.
