I chose to go into medicine because I want to serve my community and my country as a physician and a leader in the U.S. Air Force. I firmly believe in serving something greater than oneself and I have been afforded the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families who sacrifice so much for our everyday freedoms.
The accomplishment I am most proud of is being a bone marrow donor for my younger brother who had leukemia. The experience we shared as a family, and the interaction I had with the military and civilian physicians in charge of his care, is a big part of why I wanted to go into medicine.
My friends would tell you that I am laid back, quiet when you first meet me, humble, a good listener, and that I let my actions speak for themselves. When I am not studying I enjoy long motorcycle rides on back roads, going to concerts with friends, and planning my next international trip.
