Additional upstate colleges and universities collaborate with VCOM for education programs and on research. Among these colleges are Converse, Anderson College, Methodist College, Presbyterian College, and USC Upstate. The City of Spartanburg through the “College Town Consortium” for student social and enrichment experiences, which are available to VCOM students as well as other college students in the immediate area. |

Planned Specialty in Medicine: Family Medicine
The most unforgettable moment about VCOM’s orientation was hospitality of the faculty and staff. I felt like I was being welcomed home!
I am interested in family medicine because I don't think I could ever limit myself to a specialty. Family medicine is a broad discipline that allows a physician to provide care in almost every spectrum of medicine. My future plan is to join a small family practice serving the needs of a medically under-served community and settle down to have a family.
If asked, my friends would tell you that I am a crazy workaholic who's learning to get all the work done and still makes sure that I have time for fun.
